Gani Adams: Yoruba in diaspora will not be left out in the scheme of development and economy stability in the proposed Oodua republic.

The Are Ona Kakanfo of Yoruba Land Iba Gani Adams who is the initiator of Oodua Progressive Union (OPU), a Yoruba socio-cultural organization in the diaspora disclose this while speaking with Yoruba groups and OPU members in Brazil, Ecuador, French Guyana and other south American countries via a zoom meeting on Sunday.

The OPC leader and convener OPU world wide who appreciate the advocacy and awareness creation roles play by the people. The diaspora said their role is complementing the effort of the people at home who are at the war front.

He expresses optimism that many many Yoruba people in diaspora will return to be part of the system and and stabilize the Yoruba Nation because we would have a nation to be proud of.

I believe within 8-10 years Yoruba Land will be like Europe, will priortize the social welfare, replicate the care of women and people will no longer have the urge travel to abroad while those abroad will be willing to come back home and continue the loves and businesses.

We have a lot of Yoruba people who are who are making great contribution to socio-economics and infrastructural development of other nations and they didn’t come home because Nigera Government will not give them the opportunity to use their wealth of experience but when we have Yoruba Nation they will come and use what they have to develop the state.

It is sad and disturbing that we belong to a nation that has no respect for the rule of law and the fundamental human rights and that was what led and that was what led to the agitation for Oodua nation, and I am very sure that by the time we get achieve our nation, we will not only be far better but also have a nation that can be proud of.

I don’t get involved in anything if I am not sure of the future, I am very sure and optimistic that Oodua republic will work and it’s benefits can not be qualify, apart of economic and political stability we will also have a nation we can call our home.

While harping on the need for Yoruba people to unite, it is important to unite not on cohesion but unity of purpose with the aim of achieving our goals.

Some of the participants and contributors at the meeting commended Aare Gani Adams of his efforts and urge him not to relent in his efforts in championing the cause of Yoruba Nation.
