The agitators were seen carrying banners and Yoruba Nation flags, and the leaders were telling the people that the Yorubas are tired of staying with Nigeria.One of the leaders of the group known as Basorun Kunle Adesokan, in his address to the people said that Yorubas were no longer part of Nigeria, and that the Yoruba people want their own independent nation.Concerning the rally, the agitators took to social media to upload photos and videos of the crowd that turned out for the rally.

Seeing this huge crowd gives one a clear picture of how serious these agitators are with this movement.For some time now, the country has been rocked by secession threats. The agitators claim that the government of Nigeria has not benefitted their people, that is why they do more believe in the dream of one Nigeria.

Some weeks ago, Professor Banji Akintoye had called on Yoruba people to join in the campaign for the Yoruba Nation. Another person who has been at the forefront of this movement is the self- acclaimed freedom fighter, Sunday Igboho.Sunday Igboho had issued a statement some weeks ago saying that the Yoruba nation was no longer part of Nigeria, and that they were ready to walk away and were not afraid of what the federal government would do to them.He alleged that the Yoruba nation was not benefitting from the Nigerian government.

However, after the several rallies in both inside and of the federation. Yoruba people has come together to set up their flag, anthem, cunrency and map for their proposed promised land.
